Karren Brady speaks out on Kurt Zouma and reveals how he reacted to West Ham fine

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has condemned the actions of Kurt Zouma but has seen the "extreme remorse" he's shown for his actions.

The Hammers centre-half landed himself in hot water this week when a video circulated of him kicking his pet cat.

Zouma has had to deal with heavy fallout as a result with the club fining him, the RSPCA seizing his pets and the police also contemplating investigations.

West Ham boss David Moyes copped heavy criticism for selecting the Frenchman during the midweek win over Watford.

Zouma has been hit hard in the pocket with Brady doubling down on the stance shown by the club and revealing that the defender "accepted this sanction immediately without reservation and was in full agreement that the funds be donated to ensure some good is done".

Brady wrote in her Sun column : "Let me be absolutely clear - there is no defence for Kurt Zouma’s actions.

"I, like anyone who watched the video that circulated this week, was shocked by what I saw.

"Kurt’s behaviour in no way reflected the standards and values that we hold dear at West Ham United – and of course those of our pet-loving nation.

"Our stance on this as a Club has been clear from the very outset - we unreservedly condemn his actions and would never condone any form of cruelty towards animals.

"We have acted swiftly to fine him the maximum amount available to us."

Zouma has also seen hit boot deal with Adidas terminated whilst West Ham have seen sponsors suspend their associations.

The player himself has issued a public apology whilst Brady confirmed that he made a point of addressing the situation with everyone at the London club.
