Kane, Henry, Shearer: Who has the best mins-per-goal record among PL's top 20 scorers?
On Monday evening, Harry Kane surpassed Thierry Henry in the all-time Premier League scoring chart.
The Tottenham Hotspur superstar scored goals number 175 and 176 in his team’s 5-0 demolition of Everton.
Kane is now just one behind Frank Lampard and given that he’s still just 28 years of age, the England captain stands a very good chance of breaking Alan Shearer‘s record of 260 goals.
But where does Kane rank among the rest of the Premier League’s greatest ever scorers in terms of minutes-per-goal?
Well, as you probably guessed, very well indeed.
In fact, only two players who’re part of the top 20 goal-getters in Premier League history have a superior record over on Transfermarkt.
Who’re they? Let’s find out…

177 goals | 276 mins-per-goal
126 goals | 224 mins-per-goal

Yeah, Aguero‘s record isn’t being broken anytime soon, an absolute freak of nature when it comes to the sweet art of goalscoring.
The Argentine and Henry are the only two players who sit ahead of Kane at the time of writing, with Shearer having to make do with fifth-place behind Van Persie.
Rooney – who is the Premier League’s second-highest scorer – is surprisingly in 13th position, behind the likes of Lukaku and Vardy.
