Kamaru Usman talks Marvel acting debut ahead of UFC 278
UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman is set to take to the octagon again this Saturday night to defend his belt against British star Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC 278.
Before the MMA star makes his way to the cage, he discussed his acting debut as part of Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
There have been a number of UFC stars who have gone on to star in film and television, with Conor McGregor recently confirmed for a role in the Road House reboot!
Here is what Kamaru Usman had to say with regards to his upcoming role in Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ahead of UFC 278.

Speaking during the UFC 278 media day event (via Sportskeeda), the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ discussed his acting debut in the major MCU franchise.
He said: “So, a lot of respect for them. I think it’s going to be an incredible movie. Director Ryan [Coogler], an amazing director, and I think – you never know what they cut at the end. So, hopefully, my scenes stay in there. So, fingers crossed.
“But if they cut it the way that they know how, I think it’s going to be a fantastic movie. I think it’s going to take you on an emotional rollercoaster. But, all in all, fantastic. Marvel don’t usually miss. So, we’ll see. All you DC fans, don’t come at me.”
The 35-year-old is hoping to equal an incredible record at UFC 278, as a win over Edwards on Saturday night would equal Anderson Silva and his unreal record of 16 consecutive UFC wins!
