Kamaru Usman’s manager reveals how Conor McGregor could earn a title shot

Kamaru Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has explained a possible route for Conor McGregor to earn a welterweight title shot.

Even though he’s recovering from a broken leg and is coming off the back of consecutive losses, Conor McGregor is still the most talked-about fighter in mixed martial arts. The Irishman has the ability to capture the imagination of the masses at any given time, largely due to what he’s already achieved in the sport.

His immediate future would appear to involve a return to the UFC’s Octagon but as of this writing, there’s been no confirmation as to who he’ll face in his return bout – and what weight class he’ll be coming back to.

His figure certainly suggests that welterweight is the likeliest option and if he heads down that road, you’d have to imagine he’ll have his eyes set on becoming the first ever three-weight UFC champion.

The current king of that division is Kamaru Usman and even though his manager Ali Abdelaziz hates Conor McGregor, following their interactions during the latter’s feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov, he’s still willing to try and get that fight booked.

Of course, he isn’t going to make it easy for him.

“Give this guy Easy money we need him to win To pimp him out One more time. Like we did before.”

When McGregor and Khabib finally did fight at UFC 229, ‘The Eagle’ submitted him to retain the UFC lightweight championship.

Conor McGregor is going to do what’s best for him both financially and competitively, which is why there are probably two leading contenders in the race to fight him later this year: Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.

Both men have beef with ‘Notorious’ and both are big enough names to warrant putting Conor back into a pay-per-view main event.
