'Just gone to sleep' - Peter Crouch hammers Leeds United man over key moment vs Spurs

Leeds United suffered another mauling in a matter of days, this time at the hands of Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.

The Whites were desperate for a response after a 6-0 hammering at Anfield during the week, but at the interval they found themselves 3-0 down again like they were at Liverpool.

Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane ensured the visitors had a comfortable cushion at the break. Spurs took their foot off the gas a little in the second half, but Heung-Min Son added a fourth before the full time whistle.

Part of BT Sport’s punditry team, Peter Crouch was far from impressed with what he saw from Leeds and in particular Jack Harrison over his role in allowing Matt Doherty to score the first goal, saying:  “We all came here anticipating there’d be goals…  It’s far, far too easy – Harrison’s just gone to sleep.”

The result is a disaster for Leeds whose confidence will have taken battering after battering on recent form. Harrison’s performance was summed up when Marcelo Bielsa hooked him at half time.

They now sit just three points clear of Burnley who occupy the last relegation spot as things stand, however, the Clarets have three games in hand on Leeds.

The reading doesn’t get much better as the teams between Leeds and the drop also have games in hand on Leeds who are well and truly back in a relegation battle.
