Jurgen Klopp makes Luis Diaz claim after impressive full Liverpool debut
Jurgen Klopp believes Luis Diaz "already looks like a Liverpool player" after an impressive Premier League debut against Leicester City.
The Colombian international started on the left of a front three in place of Sadio Mane, who is resting following a successful Africa Cup of Nations, and the new £50m signing caught the eye in the 2-0 victory.
Diaz could have marked his debut with a couple of goals had it not been for an excellent performance from Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and Klopp was delighted with what he saw from the new addition.
"He looks at home already? That is exactly the impression he made in training, so we thought come on, let’s give it a try," Klopp said.
"When we saw him play for Porto we thought that is exactly what we want him to do as well.
"On top of that he looks like a really smart football player and has obviously watched Liverpool a lot.
