Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool boss goes viral for hilarious response to reporter

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are having a tough time of it so far this season.

The Reds have won just two of their opening six Premier League matches and currently sit way off the pace in 7th position in the table.

Meanwhile, they also suffered an embarrassingly bad 4-1 defeat at the hands of Napoli in the Champions League last Tuesday.

Klopp even branded the defeat his “worst game in charge” at Liverpool having watched the performance of his team back on several occasions.

It really has been some fall from the heights of pursuing an unprecedented quadruple last campaign and just goes to show the rollercoaster of emotions football managers have to go through.

Fortunately, Klopp doesn’t often let negative situations get the better of him and certainly keeps his humour at the very least.

As proven in his pre-Champions League press conference on Monday afternoon. When asked by a reporter whether or not he had any concerns that a six-day break could cause his side to “lose rhythm”, the Liverpool boss cheekily responded:

“What rhythm? We had no rhythm…did you watch our game against Napoli? Losing this rhythm would be really cool.”

The well-executed response had the entire press conference in stitches, who might have expected a pricklier tone from a manager that’s surely more frustrated than anyone with the situation.
