Jude Law shares little-known secret about The Holiday cottage - and fans say film is now 'ruined'

Jude Law has spilled a little-known secret about the famous 'chocolate box' cottage that features in The Holiday - and fans say his revelation has now 'ruined' the rom com film.

With Christmas now less than a month away, people will be getting in the festive spirit by turning on their favourite festive films, with many choosing to watch the 2006 classic.

The beloved movie sees newly-single Amanda Woods - played by Cameron Diaz - leave her lavish property in Los Angeles to swap homes with Iris - played by Kate Winslet - who lives in Rosehill Cottage in rural England.

Both women leave their homes in a bid to escape their romantic woes over the festive period - but their lives then change unexpectedly. During her mini-break, Cameron meets the Iris' brother Graham, played by Jude Law.

The actor, 51, recently appeared on BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show where he spoke about the film, and revealed that the idyllic cottage doesn't actually exist.

In a clip shared to TikTok by BBC Radio 2, Jude spoke about the film and said: "I find it just, honestly, glorious." He was then asked by Kerry Godliman, who was a guest on the show: "Can you Airbnb that cottage?".

It was then the actor dropped the bombshell revelation as he admitted: "That cottage doesn't exist," to which the Kerry and host Zoe responded: "What!."

Jude then went on to explain: "So the director she's a bit of a perfectionist, toured that whole area and didn't quite find the chocolate box cottage she was looking for so she just hired a field and drew it and had someone build it."
