Jude Bellingham makes 'no-brainer' transfer claim after joining Real Madrid over Man City

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has opened up on his decision to snub a transfer to the Premier League amid previous links to Manchester City.

Bellingham left Borussia Dortmund last summer to join Madrid in a deal that could be worth up to £115 million with add-ons. He has since gone on to score 20 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions from midfield for the La Liga giants.

The 20-year-old has been speaking ahead of City's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Madrid on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium, and says he has no regrets about his decision last year.

“I had conversations with other teams, but when Madrid came in, it was a no-brainer really. The size of the club, the project, the plan going forward, the chance to play with such amazing players. I just jumped at it. That’s why I made my decision.”
