Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall 2: Scotsman 'waiting' for Englishman to sign contract for rematch

Josh Taylor has revealed he is ‘waiting’ for Jack Catterall to sign his contract for their rematch and admits ‘it’s been a long time coming.’

The Scotsman is itching to return to the ring after returning from his honeymoon following his wedding last summer.

Taylor, 31, has been linked with a move up to welterweight in the past, but his promoter Todd DuBoef is currently locked in talks with his opposite counterpart Ben Shalom over a rematch following the controversial result of their first fight in Scotland.

It is widely believed that the pair will run it back early next year, but it appears talks are still some way off.

"At the end of the day, I'm the champion, I still did have all the belts. I've let go of three of them to make this fight happen. I think it will most likely be back in Scotland, we're not really sure on the timeline but it's looking like it's going to be next."
