Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola were both my boss – but I preferred one particular style

Samuel Eto'o has named Jose Mourinho's style of play as his preferred choice over other coaches, including Manchester City's Pep Guardiola.

Eto'o worked under the guidance of some top managers during his career, including Mourinho at Inter Milan and Guardiola at Barcelona. He even achieved history by lifting continental trebles in consecutive seasons with two different teams; with Barca in the 2008/09 season and Inter in 2009-10.

However, Eto'o has dubbed ex-Manchester United boss Mourinho as the manager whose style of play he enjoyed the most. Speaking to SportsBible earlier this year, the 43-year-old said: "I don't think you can say one or the other is better. It's a question of style, they each have their own style, I prefer Jose Mourinho.

"I am more friends with Jose Mourinho's style but Pep is a top top coach, so I don't think you can make a decision."

Eto'o added: "But I can tell you this there is no other coach, no other manager, who will get to motivate his players as much Jose Mourinho does. Now there are more coaches, more managers, each with their own style but in terms of motivating and getting the most out of their players that is Jose Mourinho.

"For me the treble with Jose is the special one."

The former Chelsea forward made a significant move from Barcelona to Inter Milan in 2009 after five trophy-laden seasons playing alongisde the likes of Xavi, Andreas Iniesta and Lionel Messi. The star forward secured the treble at Inter just a year after doing the same at Barca, winning the Coppa Italia, the Serie A
