Jorge Masvidal believes he would be the biggest fight of Conor McGregor’s career

Jorge Masvidal believes Conor McGregor may be ‘scared’ to fight him as the two continue to go back and forth at one another over social media.

Ever since early 2020 when Masvidal sat in the front row to watch McGregor take on Donald Cerrone, many have wondered whether it’s just a matter of time before the pair square off inside the Octagon. Now, more than two years later, it appears as if the idea is gathering some real steam heading into what looks set to be a chaotic second half of the year for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Both men are in tough spots but given the money to be made from a possible superfight at welterweight, you’d have to think this is an idea they’ll both entertain – even if Masvidal doesn’t think ‘The Notorious’ wants the smoke.

McGregor most recently took to Twitter in order to laugh off steroid accusations made by Masvidal, implying that Jorge was “stupid beyond belief”.

‘Gamebred’ wasn’t about to take that lying down, indicating that he thinks Conor is too scared to fight him.

“This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life. So you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this check”

The biggest obstacle for Jorge Masvidal right now is the fact that he’s still in the midst of some legal trouble after his Miami steakhouse altercation with Colby Covington. If that gets cleared up in the next few weeks or months, then he’ll likely be free to get back into the cage and compete.

McGregor is still recovering from the broken leg he suffered at UFC 264 last summer, although recent updates would indicate he’s only a few months away from getting a fight booked.
