Jon Dahl Tomasson confirms Blackburn Rovers Rovers debut for Hartlepool United clash

Jon Dahl Tomasson has confirmed that Bradley Dack, Tyler Morton and Ash Phillips will all start against Hartlepool United.

Phillips will make his full Rovers debut alongside Liverpool loanee Morton with the Rovers head coach set to make wholesale changes. Dack has been on the bench for both Championship matches but hasn't played a minute of the season to date.

"I will not give you 11 games but Dack will start," Tomasson told the local media. "Morton will start also and Ashley Phillips too.

"He is a massive boy, athletic, strong, he has been growing a lot so he needs to find (grow into) his body. He has a lot of talent and potential so he deserves a chance tomorrow.

"I never want to put pressure, he needs to perform like everyone else when you get a chance. He is only 17, he should enjoy it and do the right things.

"He wants to learn and he takes information very well. It's extremely important players want to learn and get better.

"I am excited for him to get his minutes, he did extremely well against Lincoln but pre-season is always different. Morton hasn't played many minutes since coming for Liverpool.

"He got four or five minutes against Swansea so he gets an opportunity. Bradley hasn't been involved in playing on the field but he's been on the bench.

"He will get an opportunity. I always feel sorry for good players when they get injured, he had two years away with his cruciate ligaments, the same for Sam (Barnes) the other day.

"When you hear stories like that you get sad because it's about passion and playing games. It is a good opportunity like the 10 other players."
