Johnny Manziel's Former Teammate Responds To Brutal Criticism

Brian Hoyer is firing back after some brutal criticism from Johnny Manziel.

Johnny Football made some waves during a lengthy interview with Shannon Sharpe when he essentially claimed Hoyer bullied him during his time in Cleveland. The former first round pick didn't paint the situation in the team's QB room in a positive light at all.

Manziel told Sharpe, "My quarterback room was not a home for me because of Brian Hoyer. Brian Hoyer had been waiting on opportunity to be able to go really provide for his family, get an opportunity and he saw how much of an upper hand he had on me and he didn't hold back when it came to that. So there were instances in the quarterback room early on when I would ask the same question a couple times and he'd be at the head of the table and go, '[Disgusted noise] Again? We're doing this again?' Keep him out of it, right. Let's just cut that off and I don't have a bad word to say about Brian Hoyer. That is just fact of what happened in that room."

Well, f has now responded to the comments from his former Browns teammate and fellow QB, but he has a bit of a different recollection of how it all went down.

"I was kind of apathetic towards him I would say. I didn't go out of my way to be a jerk to him, but in the same sense, I was trying to win this job and go out and perform the best I could. I feel sorry that he feels that way about it. I always looked at it like, I never had any animosity towards Johnny. If anything, it was towards the owner and GM, who were always trying to push him ahead of me when, clearly, he wasn't ready and I was going to be the starter," Hoyer said Wednesday on "Good Morning Football."
