John Cena's WrestleMania 28 actions for fellow WWE Superstar shows how classy he is

John Cena is one of the biggest names in WWE history, he’s been at the top of the tree for what seems an eternity, but he’s still a humble hero with other Superstars.

Despite gearing up for one of the clashes of his career, Cena made time for other wrestlers, giving them their big moment on the biggest of stages.

Vince McMahon decided to cut the Brodus Clay vs Heath Slater fight due to time constraints on the night, taking away that huge moment from both fighters.

The main event was John Cena squaring off with The Rock, a battle for the ages between two of the biggest names WWE has ever seen.

After his fight was cut, it looked like Clay’s moment in the limelight had slipped through his fingers, only for Cena to save him.

Clay revealed, whilst talking to Chris Van Vliet, that backstage, Cena faked a bathroom break before his fight with The Rock, meaning five minutes of air time needed to be filled at the Sun Life Stadium.

“We were supposed to have a match with Heath Slater, but time got cut. Cena did one of the most selfless things that a top guy doesn’t have to do. Vince [McMahon] was shaking his head, the match before went over and they were heavy on time. Vince was shaking his head and was like I think we have to cut it.

“All of a sudden Cena is getting ready, looks at me and says ‘I got to go the bathroom.’ I’m like what? He said ‘6 minutes?’ And he just left, now I had to go! I’m out and I got my WrestleMania moment because Cena had to go to the bathroom.”

This presented Clay with the chance to get his moment, going out to entertain with ‘mamas’ coming out to dance for his ‘Funkasaurus’ party segment prior to the main event.
