Joe Rogan shocked by Mike Tyson’s reaction to Jake Paul fight challenge

Joe Rogan welcomed boxing legend Mike Tyson as the latest guest on his podcast and was floored by his response to call outs for a fight with YouTuber Jake Paul.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, world famous boxer Iron Mike explained how it has felt to come out of retirement for exhibition bouts.

Whilst on the podcast, he also addressed the ongoing speculation that the next opponent he could face in the ring would be YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul.

Jake Paul has become a serious name in recent years, and he boasts a 5-0 record, including a vicious knockout victory against the former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

The Problem Child does not currently have a sixth bout opponent, but he has been challenging some big names, including Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal, Michael Bisping and, of course, Tyson.

Tyson’s response to the challenge was not one that many had expected and it even had the podcast host rather baffled.

Rogan asked: “When you get challenged by a guy like Jake Paul, does that p*** you off?”

Tyson donned a smirk and replied: “No, it doesn’t. I like it. I think it’s awesome. It’s cool.”

The former heavyweight champion has also been challenged by Logan Paul in the past, who claimed that he could knock Tyson out.

Tyson went on to explain that he is not insulted or angered by the Paul brothers’ presumption because he doesn’t engage his ego.

He said: “You can’t take yourself too seriously. The world will turn on you if you take yourself too seriously. Who the hell am I to take myself too seriously? I made all this money; I got this reputation… I have a great life, how am I gonna be mad at somebody? When you think about it, my ego is not involved, how could I really be mad at somebody?”
