Jet2 says Brits can go on holiday abroad for as little as 1p this summer

Major travel company Jet2 says Brits can go on holiday for 1p per person this summer. No you didn't read that wrong, and 1p won't land you in a dodgy B&B in Skegness - it's all legit.

The holiday operator's 'Bid for a Break' promotion is back on, which means travellers can win a week-long trip for pennies. This year you could literally bid wanderlust adieu by betting on a seven-day holiday for two to Tenerife, Bulgaria or Gran Canaria.

The first winner of 2022 went to one woman who bagged a holiday in Turkey for a mere £14.46. The next trip, which opens for bids on May 16, is a holiday to the Kiani Beach Resort in Crete, followed by bidding on May 30 for a trip to Gran Canaria's Abora Catarina by Lopesan Hotels.

Even if you don't win, Jet2 will reward all bidders with a special discount code for £60 off their next holiday, says the Mirror.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "With international travel now fully unlocked, we know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are delighted to relaunch our Bid for a Break campaign.

"The campaign was hugely successful last year and now, thanks to its
