Jessie Diggins takes bronze for Team USA's first ever sprint medal
Jessie Diggins held off US teammate Rosie Brennan in a dramatic finish at Tuesday's Olympic cross country freestyle sprint finals to take bronze, Team USA's first-ever Olympic sprint medal in cross-country skiing.
Brennan finished fourth behind Diggins and Team Sweden teammates, gold-medal winner Jonna Sundling and silver-medal winner Maja Dahlqvist.
'Jessie Diggins, Rosie Brennan still in the mix for the a medal here in Beijing,' NBC's announcer belted out as the pack approached the final stretch.
