Jensen, Hennessy, double up on hardware at World Cup in Montreal
Canada's Sophia Jensen and Brianna Hennessy added to Canada's medal haul on Sunday at the canoe sprint and Para canoe World Cup in Montreal.
Jensen, a 24-year-old from Chelsea, Que., won silver in the women's C1 200-metre event, crossing the line in 45.16 seconds. Ukraine's Liudmyla Luzan claimed gold in 44.68, while Cuba's Yarisleidis Duboy took bronze in 45.23.
The silver medal came a day after Jensen finished second in the women's C1 500-metre event.
Hennessy, an Ottawa Para canoeist, also earned silver, finishing the women's VL2 200-metre race in 1:01.97 at the Olympic Basin in Parc Jean-Drapeau. Great Britain's Emma Wiggs won gold in 57.76 seconds, while Brazil's Debora Benevides claimed bronze in the six-woman field.

The canoe sprint and Para canoe world championships will be held from Aug. 26 to 30 in Poznan, Poland.
