Jan Paul van Hecke gives defiant Blackburn Rovers play-off message

The Brighton & Hove Albion loanee has claimed that the team is still fighting for those extra three games at the end of the campaign.

There are only five matches left to play this season, but the 21-year old has admitted that the team needs a strong finish to have a chance of making a top six finish.

Blackburn have slipped to 7th place in recent weeks having suffered from a poor run of results.

But Tony Mowbray’s side can still earn a play-off place, with the gap only two points to Sheffield United in 6th.

“We have five more games to play, the season is coming to an end and we’re still around it,” said van Hecke, via the club’s official website.
