Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has outlined what Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu must do in the summer to further improve Arsenal's squad.

Speaking on Monday Night Football following the Gunners' 3-0 defeat away to Crystal Palace, the pundit highlighted one of their main weaknesses and revealed what can be done to rectify it ahead of next season.

"The worry for Arsenal is this game, this first half reminded me of the second half at Everton when we covered them a few months ago," he said. "It’s probably happened four or five times this season where the sort of naivety, lack of experience, they’ve just got found wanting."

"There’s definitely the quality there but I think Arsenal fans are probably going to have to accept when you have a young team like this, at times when they are sort of growing and trying to get to that level that Arsenal fans want them to get to where their challenging for titles and not top-four, they are going to have bumps in the road - that's why they still need experienced players
