Jake Paul setting up fight with Tyson Fury training partner after Tommy Fury comments

Tommy Fury called out Jake Paul after his routine win over Daniel Bocianski at Wembley on Saturday night. However, his American rival appears to have a different idea as to who his next fight could be against with World Cup winning rugby star Sonny Bill Williams seemingly in his sights for a heavyweight battle.

New Zealander Williams won both the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups with the All Blacks while participating in a number of boxing fights as well as a successful stint in rugby league. He won the WBA International heavyweight title in 2013 beating Fracois Botha of South Africa before returning to the rugby field to lift the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

He also participated in the 2019 tournament, losing to England in the semi-finals before turning his attentions to the world of boxing. He has been training as part of the Tyson Fury camp in recent months due to his close friendship with compatriot and heavyweight boxer Joseph Parker.

After returning to the ring earlier this year by beating Waikato Falefehi, Williams is rumoured to be looking for an August fight, which is also the case for Paul and the two would be a good match in terms of size. However, due to Williams' distinguished career at the top sporting level it may be Paul's sternest test in the ring so far.

Speaking about a potential fight, Williams revealed Paul's interest in the fight, telling Nine and Stan Sport: “I’m maybe looking at August, getting back in the ring,” Williams told Nine and Stan Sport. "Jake Paul, his people have reached out to mine and they’re talking so who knows.
