Jake Paul mocks Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal over 'weak chins' - calls for fight

Jake Paul thinks Jorge Masvidal vs Conor McGregor is the right fight to make for both parties.

Masvidal fell to a disappointing loss to former friend-turned-nemesis Colby Covington on Saturday night at UFC 272.

The loss may have come on points, but the victory was resounding from Covington’s side and never really in doubt. It means that the 37-year-old Masvidal hasn’t won since he beat Darren Till way back in March 2019 and has left UFC President Dana White pondering where he would go next.

“We knew tonight, whoever lost, ‘What would be next?’ and ‘Where would they go?’

“And I don’t know, sitting right here, right now, I don’t know. On either one of them, even Colby, who won.”

Masvidal signed a new contract with the UFC just before the fight, which makes him one of the highest paid athletes in the promotion, and although Dana may not know who he fights next, Paul seems to have a clear option idea in mind.

Paul, 25, tweeted: “We already know Conor can’t finish Diaz. Right fight to make is Masvidoll vs McGregor. 50/50 fight ends in KO.

“Both can throw, and both have weak chins.”

McGregor’s last victory came against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone back in January 2020. Since then, he has gone on to lose twice against Dustin Poirier, the second of which saw him suffered an awful leg break.

Plenty of rumours have been circulating over a potential fight between Paul and both Masvidal and McGregor, but it seems Paul would rather see his potential opponents scrap it out in the Octagon first.

Dana White has been quoted in the past as saying that Masvidal is “too big” for McGregor, given that he fights at around 170 pounds compared to McGregor’s usual weight class of 145-155 pounds.
