Jake Paul has gone full Deontay Wilder and knocked out a mascot after being provoked

Jake Paul is quickly becoming a permanent name in the world of boxing, with a record of 5-0 in professional bouts.

Paul showed his boxing ability at the NBA clash between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets.

The boxer/YouTuber attended the game with his brother Logan Paul, who recently competed at WrestleMania 38.

As the pair sat courtside, Jake was invited onto the court up against the Rockets mascot Clutch, who was wearing giant boxing gloves.

To the surprise of many in the arena, Paul took no mercy and with one punch appeared to knock out the mascot, who laid face down on the court.

The crowd were understandably shocked by the dramatic scenes on the court, and watched as their mascot was carried off sometime after the incident.

Paul is currently enjoying a break from boxing, but is expected to return to the ring for his sixth professional fight – a fight that is expected to take place in August this year.

A number of high-profile names have been linked with a fight against Paul. He has so far fought the likes of Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren, but the list of his potential next opponents look like they will be a real challenge for him. 

Tommy Fury, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Conor McGregor have all been rumoured to be squaring up to Paul in the ring come August. A clash against the Irishman would come in UFC, with Paul offering to donate his prize money to the lowest-paid fighters if he loses – a dig at his recent media rival and UFC president Dana White.
