Jairzinho Rozenstruik calls out Jon Jones for 'no action' on UFC heavyweight move

UFC heavyweight Jairzinho Rozenstruik has questioned whether or not Jon Jones will actually make his long-awaited move to the division.

One of the big mysteries across the last decade of mixed martial arts has been surrounding Jon Jones and whether or not he’d dominate if he made the move up to heavyweight. At 205 pounds, he was an unbeaten force of nature – but a recent surge of new talent has brought even more attention to Jones and his two-year absence from the octagon.

It’s no wonder, then, that some of those currently residing in the top 15 are sick of hearing his name being mentioned everywhere they go.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik, who has been recognised as one of the most fearsome strikers in the entire promotion, had the following to say when asked about what could be next for ‘Bones’.

“I don’t know, it’s so much talk, no action. I’m a guy of action, so we’re gonna see it when he moves up or not. I’m gonna be there for a while and if I see him I see him, if not, he’ll do what he does and good luck with what he does.

“I’m fighting in the Champions League of fighting. Why not fight the best guys while it’s my time, while I’ve got a chance to improve yourself so your legacy remains. That’s the most important [thing] in the game.”

Across his last six fights in the UFC, ‘Bigi Boy’ has gone 3-3 with a win-loss pattern featuring some odd inconsistency. His defeats have come against some of the very best, aka Francis Ngannou, Ciryl Gane and Curtis Blaydes, but that hasn’t stopped him from wanting to right those wrongs as quickly as possible.

At UFC 273 next weekend he’ll hope to make a statement at the expense of the always intriguing Marcin Tybura.
