Jadon Sancho facing awkward reality as Man United 'plot transfer for dressing room friend'
Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Christopher Nkunku, who has found regular game-time hard to come by at Chelsea this season.
The French forward, who joined the Blues from RB Leipzig for £52million in 2023, has only started one Premier League match under manager Enzo Maresca. Despite scoring nine goals in seven games across the Conference League and Carabao Cup, his lack of appearances in the starting XI has raised questions about his future at Stamford Bridge.
According to L'Equipe, United have enquired about Nkunku's availability and could test Chelsea's resolve with a bid for the 26-year-old in January. Nkunku is reportedly unhappy with his playing time, but he remains a big part of Chelsea's long-term plans, with many at the club, including Jadon Sancho, keen for him to stay.

The United loanee, 24, reportedly shares a 'close bond' with Nkunku off the pitch. This friendship has also translated into a strong partnership on the field, with Sancho assisting Nkunku for a late winning goal against Bournemouth on his debut in August.
Following the match, Sancho posted a photo on Instagram of the pair celebrating the goal, expressing his delight at making his debut for Chelsea. In response, Nkunku commented: "Thank you my bro," likely referring to Sancho's assist.
Given their close relationship, Sancho will be disappointed to see his team-mate leave in January, especially to his former club, who he left under acrimonious circumstances, having failed to live up to his £73m price tag and
