Jack Ross the latest casualty of the nine-goal curse
Dundee United have sacked head coach Jack Ross following Sunday's 9-0 Scottish Premiership defeat to Celtic.
The Tannadice club sit rock bottom in the league table with only one point gained from their opening five matches.
Dundee United released a statement on Tuesday morning confirming that Ross had been "relieved of his duties with immediate effect".
"Liam Fox will take charge of the the first team on an interim basis with the focus now fully on Wednesday's Premier Sports Cup match with Livingston," read the statement.
"No further comment will be issued by Dundee United at this stage."
Earlier, Bournemouth manager Scott Parker was sacked by Bournemouth following an identical 9-0 result against Liverpool on Saturday.
