Jack Oliver has died

Today’s Kells Road Races were abandoned after a tragic accident which claimed the life of Jack Oliver.

The 22-year-old from Limivady,k Northern Irelandl was involved in an incident during the Supersport race as he negotiated the jumps on the Crossakiel circuit. The race was immediately red flagged but sadly Jack succumbed to his injuries.

A hot prospect in road racing with a big future in the sport, earlier in the meeting he took a second place finish in the Junior Support race and a tenth place finish in the senior race.

Earlier in the season Jack had his first road racing win at the Cookstown 100 winning the senior support race.
