Jack O'Connor to stay on as Kerry boss for two more years

Jack O'Connor will stay on as manager of the Kerry senior footballers for two more years after being reappointed at the Kingdom's county board meeting on Tuesday night.

O'Connor replaced Peter Keane on an intial two-year term in the autumn of 2021, leading Kerry to the All-Ireland title the following summer.

They could not retain Sam Maguire this year, losing by two points Dessie Farrell's Dublin in the final.

However 62-year-old O'Connor has been reappointed unopposed and will try to add another All-Ireland senior crown to the ones claimed in 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2022.

He has yet to confirm his backroom team, which previously included the highly rated Tyrone man Paddy Tally.

Meanwhile Stephen Molumphy was ratified to manage the senior hurlers for one more year.
