Jack Crowley delighted with narrow Munster win

It wasn't pretty, but Munster just about managed to grind out a 20-15 United Rugby Championship win over Cardiff at Thomond Park on Saturday night, with Jack Crowley's contribution the main positive for the home team to take from the game.

Crowley's man-of-the-match display saw him score 15 of his side's points in a game where handling errors could have come back to haunt Graham Rowntree's side.

"I'm a little bit surprised to be standing here, but I'm delighted that we could get the win," Crolwley admitted in his post-match interview with RTÉ Sport.

"It means a lot for us in terms of going forward and ending this block on a high.

"There are definitely a few things that we'll look at on Tuesday when we get back together in terms of our attack and whatnot, where we'd be quite disappointed with a few errors that we made and opportunities that we didn't take.

"So we'll look at them and we'll have to be on it for next week against Northampton.

"But I think Cardiff's last number of games have come right down to the wire, so it's a credit to them. They're a side that's growing massively and they're putting it up to everyone and they're performing."

On his own individual display, which featured a first senior Munster try, the 24-year-old added: "I managed to sneak in. It's been a long time coming! But yeh, I was delighted that I could get across.

"It's something that we didn't want it to come down to. We would have preferred, obviously, to have taken our opportunities early on.

"But, again, delighted that we could get the win, and it means a lot for this group going forward."
