ITV The Chase fans hit out over 'embarrassing' contestants

The Chase fans expressed their frustration at this evening's episode of the popular quiz show. Facing tough questions against Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis, the team struggled once out of the gate.

Bradley Walsh's team of four, including Victoria, Tam and Kathleen, struggled against The Menace. Only Oli, a 26-year-old HR advisor from London, managed to slip past the chaser to bring back £4,000.

After one contestant took home the show's biggest solo win on Wednesday (August 31), fans were disappointed that the rest of the week didn't match that spectacular finish. Yesterday, Bradley's team were also unsuccessful when three players went up against The Beast.

Dedicated fans of the ITV quiz show took to Twitter to vent their frustrations. One said: "This is dismal tonight. If not for the 80k win on Weds, this is the dullest run of shows I've seen in ages."

Another remarked that it was "a terrible end to the week". A third called the team's attempt "embarrassing".

Some fans were disappointed that there wouldn't be another display from a contestant like Dan, who took home an £80,000 prize pot during Wednesday's episode. In a nail-biting finale, Dan clinched the win over Jenny 'the Vixen' Ryan with just seconds to spare.

After this evening's disappointing show, one viewer reasoned: "Looks like being a long time b4 we see another Dan." But not everyone was as dismayed.
