ITV Good Morning Britain viewers say it's 'too early' as Ben Shephard forced to step in and stop shouting from guests

Good Morning Britain viewers were quick to share their thoughts as shouting broke out on the show. Some complained it was 'too early' for the commotion as the ITV news programme returned to screens with Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway at the helm.

The pair have been among the main hosts of the programme this week as they continued to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following her death last Thursday, September 8. However, as the week has gone on, the show has reintroduced a mix of news.

And on Friday's show (September 16), they discussed the news that the new Chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, is planning on scrapping the cap on bankers' bonuses in a bid to help attract top global talent to the city of London.

Kate explained that bankers are collecting their 'biggest bonuses' since before the 2008 financial crisis. The UK's top four banks - HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds Bank, and NatWest - gave a total of £5.2bn in bonuses in the last financial year.

There is now a debate other whether this is appropriate as the cost of living crisis deepens across the country. Kate and Ben were joined live in the studio by Dave Fishwick, who owns the Bank of Dave, who thinks that it is 'ridiculous' to remove the cap when people are struggling with their own gas and electric bills.

Meanwhile, former Brexit Party MEP Ben Habib appeared via video link from Warsaw and believes what people earn in the city has 'nothing to do with' the cost of living crisis. Both were questioned on their views during the debate but it didn't take long for things to get heated.
