ITV Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls taken aback as he suffers awkward 'tension' with co-star Richard Arnold
Ed Balls' enthusiasm may have got the better of him during his latest appearance on Good Morning Britain. The former Labour politician and Strictly Come Dancing star was back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Tuesday (July 19) alongside Ranvir Singh.
Just like yesterday's show, much of the focus was again on the scorching temperatures being felt across the country amid a heatwave in the UK. However, there was still time to find out if things were heating up in the Love Island villa as Richard Arnold was on hand with his latest entertainment segment.
Ed and Ranvir appeared uninterested as talk turned to the fallout from Movie Night which has rocked some of the islanders. It saw the islanders being shown clips of each other getting intimate and chatting with other islanders while they were split up during the annual Casa Amor twist.

Ranvir did eventually turn to Richard and asked: "What is going on on Love Island, from your point of view, what is being exposed?" He then snapped: "Well I’ll bring you up to speed if you’ll let me and I’ll bring you up with the nitty-gritty of it."
But Ed, who has made it clear he's a fan of the ITV2 dating show, wanted to have his say too, adding: "Movie night was not a good night for the boys was it?" He tried to continue but Richard cut him off, saying: "Well you’ve practically done all the item, Edward."
A sheepish-looking Ed then replied: “It wasn’t me, I want to see the clips." Richard then responded: "Enough about the tension here on the Good Morning Britain desk. Can we crack on with it? I’ll speak if you let me. Thanks."
And the change didn't pass GMB viewers by. @SteveB2Notts tweeted:
