Reading are near to dismissing manager Veljko Paunovic, as per a report from the Daily Mail. 

The Royals are flying dangerously close to the regelation zone, with Paunovic’s side losing their last nine Championship matches.

As well as being hit with a transfer embargo, the Royals have been dealt some major injury blows and have often found themselves with a relatively youthful starting XI and an inexperienced bench.

Sitting two points above safety, and with Derby County making impressive strides towards survival, Reading find themselves in an extremely difficult position.

The Royals are well and truly in a relegation dogfight and need someone to come in and shake-up the dressing room, and spark what is a talented squad into life.

Eight defeats in a row is unacceptable and on paper this is a side that are significantly underachieving and are free-falling into League One without imminent change.

Warnock has a track record in the Championship of working wonders in the short-term in rejuvenating a club’s fortunes.

The Royals need an honest leader with know-how and nous of avoiding the drop and with Warnock currently out of work, the club need to do everything they can to lure the veteran boss to the SCL Stadium for the remainder of the campaign.

Whether the Royals’ hierarchy would approach someone like
