"It's only a matter of time" - Journalist drops significant Harry Kane claim at Tottenham

Tottenham will receive more offers for Harry Kane in the near future, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Kane is still at his boyhood club for now, but rival clubs may decide to test the waters in the upcoming summer transfer window.

It looked like Kane could be on his way out of Tottenham last summer when Manchester City showed significant interest in the striker.

According to Pep Guardiola, the Premier League champions made four offers for Kane, but each one was rejected by Spurs, who reportedly valued the 69-cap England star at £150m.

Heading towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign, it is now being reported that Manchester United want to sign Kane this summer.

The 28-year-old has just over two years remaining on his contract at Tottenham.

Brown feels it is inevitable that someone will bid for Kane, and he has suggested that Kane’s price-tag will have to be lower than it was last year.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Brown said: “It’s only a matter of time before another club makes another bid for Kane, whether it’s City or anyone else. The longer this goes on, the more his value decreases because he gets older and he comes towards the end of that contract.”

The final weeks of the season could be crucial in deciding whether Kane is still at Tottenham at the start of their 2022/23 campaign.

He has started to find his best form since the turn of the year, and he was recently awarded the Player of the Month Award for March. It also appears that Kane enjoys playing under Antonio Conte.
