'It's just disappointing': Parklife fans issue message to bosses after three major performers cancel sets

Parklife fans have been sharing their disappointment after it was announced that three acts - including two headliners - would no longer be appearing at this weekend’s festival.

Last week it was announced that house DJ Fisher would no longer be appearing at the event, which will be held at Heaton Park on Saturday and Sunday (June 8 and 9). The producer, who was due to perform an exclusive Under Construction set with Chris Lake, said he was facing 'times of uncertainty' ahead of the birth of his child.

The same week, drill artist Digga D was axed from the line-up after pleading guilty to two drug charges. On Tuesday evening (June 4), it was also announced that The Valley stage headliner J Hus would be unable to perform at the festival.

Posting on social media, Parklife said: “Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, J Hus will no longer be performing at this year's festival. With over 100 acts gracing Heaton Park this weekend, we look forward to welcoming everyone to Parklife 2024 on Saturday.”

Parklife bosses said that updates to the weekend’s line-up would be included on the official Parklife mobile app, but festival goers demanded that new artists were added to the bill to replace the three acts.

One person responded to the statement: “Are you serious? Another act… surely you’ve backup acts…” Another said: “how has three acts dropped out and no one has been replaced. I expected better.”

Some people with tickets for this weekend’s festival also asked for refunds in response to the three absent acts. One said: “Where can I apply for my refund?" Another said: "Ermm sorry???? first fisher now j hus i want my money back
