'It's about me!' Dean Ryan faces calls to go as latest Dragons humiliation shows something's gravely wrong

Dragons coach Dean Ryan finds himself under immense pressure today after his side were humiliated against Munster.

Ryan admitted the 10-try 64-3 annihilation was unacceptable as the Welsh team's horror season reached its nadir.

Many fans are now questioning Ryan's future amid a campaign which has brought just a solitary win.

While the Dragons are the most poorly funded side in Wales, their squad is still stronger than the results and performances they have delivered. Indeed, the basics of effort and desire are rightly being questioned after what unfolded on Saturday.

Ryan's three-year contract is due to expire at the end of the season and he has been in talks over an extension.

He also has a seat on the board of the region as part of his current deal, with reports saying he was paid a hefty £284,012.

Sections of the fan base are now calling for change ahead of next season, which will see the Dragons squad strengthened further amid a flurry of recent signings.

Ryan looked somewhat shell-shocked after the record defeat at Thomond Park, saying: “I am incredibly disappointed, we were blown off the park. We came second in every area and collision.

“The second half wasn’t really acceptable, we made it easy for them and they could score at will.

“We need to answer why that was in our game and why we were not physical, because we pride ourselves on being physical and making life difficult for the opposition. Today we didn’t.

“It hurts and there is some stuff there that we didn’t recognise; under that amount of pressure people behaved in a
