Isthmian League fixtures for 2023/24 season released

The fixtures for the new Isthmian League season have been released.

The campaign starts on August 12 and sees Chatham begin their quest for a third successive promotion at home to Bognor Regis in the Isthmian Premier.

Chats went undefeated at Maidstone Road last season en route to winning Isthmian South East, last tasting a league defeat there in October 2021 while in Southern Counties East.

Margate, with Reece Prestedge starting his first full campaign in charge, open at home to newly-promoted Whitehawk, the Sussex side having pipped Hythe in the play-offs last season.

Folkestone, with a new consortium this week taking over the day-to-day running of the club, open with a trip to Wingate & Finchley.

Boxing Day sees Margate visit Cray, Chatham go to Kingstonian and Folkestone host Hastings.

There are plenty of ambitious Kent clubs battling it out in Isthmian South East.

Among the title favourites are Ramsgate, who start with a derby at Sevenoaks.

Herne Bay, relegated from the Isthmian Premier, entertain Burgess Hill, while Sheppey, who just missed out on a play-off place last season, go to new boys Broadbridge Heath.

Beaten play-off finalists Hythe start their bid to go one better at home to East Grinstead, and Sittingbourne host Cray Valley, who are under new management in Steve McKimm.

Phoenix Sports mark their return to the division with a home game against Chichester City.

Kevin Watson’s first league game in charge of Ashford United has been moved back a day, with the Nuts & Bolts travelling to league new boys Erith & Belvedere on August 13.

On Boxing Day, Ashford host Hythe, Sevenoaks go to East Grinstead, Steve Lovell returns to Ramsgate with Herne Bay, and Sheppey face Sittingbourne in the Swale derby.
