Real Madrid midfielder Isco has confirmed that he will be leaving the club as a free agent this summer. The Spaniard has previously been linked with moves to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham although it remains to be seen whether either of the trio will make another move for his services.
Isco made the move to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2013, signing from Malaga for £27 million. He has since gone on to make 353 appearances for Los Blancos and score 53 goals, although he has struggled for game time in recent years, making just 14 La Liga appearances under Carlo Ancelotti this year.
Initial reports suggest a move to Jose Lopetegui's Sevilla is on the cards but nothing is confirmed as yet and the three London clubs could still potentially reignite their interest. In the meantime, Isco has sent an emotional farewell to Madrid.
Taking to Instagram, the 30-year-old wrote: "When I was in Malaga and knew I had to leave I made a commitment to join another team, but Real Madrid called and you just can’t say no, although there are always exceptions .
"I remember telling my people “damn, Madrid haven’t won the Champions for years but I sense it’s coming,” and then La Decima came and all the the rest is history.
