Is it wrong to swear in front of children?

When raising children or spending time around them, many people are on their guard about what kind of language to use.

But with the stresses of raising a child or just life in general, it's likely that most have let the occasional swear word fall out of their mouth when in front of a child.

As a result, we want to know your thoughts on whether it is ok to utter the odd expletive in front of kids.

There are worries that swearing in front of children could cause them to pick up the bad language, or potentially even encourage being aggressive.

However, in his 2016 book 'What the F: What Swearing Reveals About Our Language, Our Brains, and Ourselves', professor of cognitive science Benjamin K. Bergen suggests that dropping a curse word in the presence of a child isn't so bad as their minds are “are resilient to profanity.”
