Ireland U21s call up Ollie O'Neill and Conor Carty for Latvia qualifier
Jim Crawford has added Ollie O'Neill and Conor Carty to his Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for Friday's European Championship qualifier in Latvia.
The travelling party had been named last Thursday with the likes of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Andrew Moran, QPR striker Sinclair Armstrong and Wolves' Joe Hodge all included, along with defender Connor O'Riordan, who had been initially called up by Scotland.
Carty has now been brought into the squad shortly after scoring for St Patrick's Athletic on Sunday as the Saints beat Cork City at Turner's Cross to reach next month's Sports Direct FAI Cup final.
And that, surely, is that. What a finish from Conor Carthy on the half-volley. It's looking like an all-Dublin Cup final... 2-0 Pat's.#RTEsoccer #FAICup
