IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: How Narrow Win vs PBKS Impact RR

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was witness to another close match on Saturday as Rajasthan Royals trumped Punjab Kings in the last over of a low-scoring thriller. After Punjsb Kings scored jus 147/8 in 20 overs, it seemed that the task would be easy. However, the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh bowled their hearts out as the match went till the last over. RR won with 1 ball left. With the favourable result vs Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals consolidated their position on top of the points table.

They have five wins in six games. They are followed by Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. Punjab Kings are currently placed eighth in the 10-team table with two wins in six matches.

Currently, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is the Orange Cap holder with 319 runs in six games. Rajasthan Royals' Yuzvendra Chahal  in the Purple Cap holder with 11 wickets in six games.

Rajasthan Royals defeated Punjab Kings by three wickets in their IPL match on Saturday.
