IPL 2022: CSK batter Ruturaj Gaikwad doesn't believe in anything like being 'in form'

Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad doesn't believe in anything like being in form, saying that one has to start every game from zero. Gaikwad, who struggled throughout CSK's first eight games of this Indian Premier League (IPL) season, was at his best on Sunday as he powered six sixes and as many fours before missing out on a well-deserved century against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Gaikwad scored 99 off 57 balls and stitched a 182-run partnership with Devon Conway (85 not out), which is now CSK's highest opening stand in IPL history.

CSK returned to winning ways with 13-run victory over SRH at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Ruturaj Gaikwad (99) and Devon Conway (85*) starred in CSK's 13-run victory over SRH, as the duo's mammoth partnership took CSK to 202/2 batting first. At the post-match presentation, 'Player of the Match' Gaikwad said: "Felt good and it has come in a winning way, this knock feels more special. There will be times where you will get one or two good deliveries and you will be unlucky here and there. With the kind of support staff you have and all the people around, you have that backing and confidence with you going.
