Insider claims Leeds could pursue player with £80m+ release clause in Raphinha deal

Leeds United will want to get the most money they can for their Brazilian winger Raphinha in the summer if he was to leave Elland Road.

This is according to journalist Dean Jones, who spoke to This Is Futbol about the future of Raphinha and gave his opinion on whether a deal for the Brazilian could include Oscar Mingueza.

Raphinha has been a standout performer in a poor Leeds side this season, he is the Whites’ top scorer after he has scored nine goals in 27 Premier League games. Leeds currently find themselves in a relegation scrap as they sit just two places above the bottom three.

Oscar Mingueza has featured 15 times in La Liga for Barcelona this season, and he came through the Barcelona youth academy. Leeds may be interested in signing him in an exchange deal plus cash for Raphinha in the summer.

Mingueza has featured 42 times over the past two seasons in La Liga for his side, whilst chipping in with two goals and three assists in this period, and his current market value is £8.10m, as per Transfermarkt.
