Injured DeChambeau tells everyone to chill

Bryson DeChambeau isn't sounding the alarm in regard to his health - and he doesn't want others to do so, either.

DeChambeau withdrew from the Saudi International before Friday's second round because of left hand and left hip injuries.

The 28-year-old took to social media on Saturday to calm others' fears that his injuries are linked to his excessive workouts.

"Everyone needs to chill," DeChambeau wrote on Instagram.

"Yes, I hurt myself but not from hitting it far. I slipped and fell this week on Tuesday unfortunately.

"I know people probably (won't) believe me, but that is the truth. I will be back stronger and better than ever in a few weeks. ... Thank you for your concerns and keep hitting bombs!! I will be back ..."

The 2020 US Open winner, ninth in the world rankings, is expected to return to action in two weeks for the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

DeChambeau missed the cut last week in the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego and last month withdrew from the Hawaii Open before it began because of a sore wrist.
