'In their hands' - Kevin Campbell on what Everton must do to avoid relegation

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell says they must win one of their final three away games to ensure Premier League safety.

Frank Lampard 's side took a huge step in the right direction on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park. The victory takes them within two points of safety, behind Burnley and Leeds, although Everton do have a game in hand over their rivals.

Of their remaining five games, three are away from home at Leicester, Watford and Arsenal. Campbell says his former club need to win at least one of those and that the relegation fight is 'in their hands'.

He told Premier League Productions : "When you look at Burnley and Leeds' run-ins, they're not easy at all. Definitely not easy.

"But I look at Everton's and it's in their hands. It really is in their hands. One of those away games, they have to win. (Watford) that's the one. Leicester the next one up, they're not doing great and they're in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League, so one eye is probably on that.

"Everton need to respond. It was a big win today. If they can get three points in their next game, that will put them in such a great position."

The Blues take on Leicester at the King Power on Sunday, May 8 before they make the trip to face Watford three days later. Burnley are at home to Aston Villa next Saturday, while Leeds are away at Arsenal.
