In the coming weeks: Tottenham now ready to sign 'world-class' talent; Poch called him 'special'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Paulo Dybala in the next few weeks.

The 28-year-old has still not been able to negotiate a new contract with Juventus, which is set to expire in the summer.

For a player who currently holds a market value of £45m, that is a lot of money that the Bianconeri could end up losing; but on the flip side, a potential bargain is on the cards for the club who can snap up his signature.

As per Tutto Juve, Spurs are among a number of clubs who are now ready to step in to sign Dybala in the coming weeks if an agreement is not found over a new deal.

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation closely, as Juve attempt to reach an agreement with the Argentine.

To get a player of Dybala’s quality in for free is a no-brainer.

He has plenty of admirers from former figures at Tottenham, including their former manager Mauricio Pochettino, who once called him a ‘special talent‘; while former Lilywhites goalkeeper Paul Robinson has dubbed him a ‘world-class‘ player.

His goal contributions record over his career so far speaks for itself, with no fewer than 143 goals scored and 70 assists made for club and country combined; and in a World Cup year, Dybala will be eager to showcase his talent at club level so that he is ready on the big stage with Argentina.

At 28 years of age, he is in his prime, which is all the more reason for Spurs to try and sign him on a free transfer.

In other news, Spurs have reportedly made an offer for another Serie A maestro
