'If it happens' - Pundit who knows Jesse Marsch drops exciting Leeds claim

Former Leeds United player turned pundit Mike Grella has thrown his support behind Jesse Marsch following reports about his reported appointment at the club.

Despite having done some incredible work at the club in getting Leeds to the Premier League and solidifying their place in the top flight with a top-half finish last season, this weekend proved to be the end of the road for Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

He was relieved of his duties after more than three and a half seasons at the club, and following a string of results that had seen them concede 20 goals in the month of February alone, reports have suggested that the man who will be tasked to replace him will be American Marsch, who was most recently seen in charge of Red Bull Leipzig in the German Bundesliga.

Taking to Twitter to report the impending announcement, Grella, who played for Leeds between 2009-2011, claimed that Leeds United would be making a good decision by appointing the 48-year-old, praising him for his abilities both on and off the pitch having played under him for nearly three years at New York Red Bulls:

Grella had better be right with both his predictions, because Marsch is certainly going to be walking into a tough position when it comes to the situation at Elland Road.

Not only will he have to win over a fanbase who were infatuated with Bielsa right until the very end and may still struggle to come to grips with the idea of him not being in the dugout anymore, but he has got a lot of work to do on the pitch as well.
