Ibrahima Konate: Video shows Liverpool star is one of Premier League's best centre-backs

Ibrahima Konate has made quite the impression in recent weeks.

The 22-year-old Frenchman signed for Liverpool after they paid his £36 million release clause in May 2021, and in typical Jurgen Klopp fashion when handling younger talents, he has been carefully eased into the set-up throughout this season.

Three goals in his last three appearances has confirmed Konate is as dangerous as he is physically imposing, but beyond that, the exceptionally high level of defending he has showcased across those games has understandly got Koppites talking.

It looks like Klopp and Liverpool’s recruitment team are onto another winner with this boy.

And whilst it’s certainly his recent performances that have grabbed the plaudits, Konate has been turning in brilliant cameos whenever he has been granted the opportunity this season – as proven in a video which has recently gone viral on Twitter.
