'I went to nostalgic Build-A Bear-shop – it was cute but price shocked me'

It's the early noughties, it's your birthday and your parents are taking you to Build-A-Bear.

You can probably picture it now. It seems so long ago that you made, and dressed, your own teddy bear that you probably forgot the shop still existed - but it does.

Shivani Khosla, known as khoslaa on TikTok, recently went on a trip down memory lane when she visited the nostalgic shop to try and build the cheapest bear possible. It turns out, toys aren't that cheap to whip up these days.

In the clip, Shivani admitted the store was "so popular" when she was little, and she still treasures the memories of visiting. But this time she decided to see what she could get for her money.

She started with the cheapest bear, which came in at £14. The content creator said the teddy is called a "birthday bear" so, if it's your birthday, you can actually pay what age you're about to become (permitting you're a little one, of course!)

Shivani admitted the process was "so cute" as she actually got to chose a heart to be sewn inside the bear. Then she could select from a wide variety of outfits.

She hunted down some of the most reasonable outfits, which started to come in at £4 each for little T-shirts. Meanwhile, the bear's boxers came in at £3.50.

The outfit was topped off with some fluffy slippers, as they were cheaper than the shoes. By the time she added the shorts, and a few extras, the price tallied upto £37.45.

Shivani pointed out that, at the till, she spent £5 to activate a giftcard to reduce the price by £10, which meant the final tally came in at £27.45.

The video has been shared thousands of times since she posted it, and people were quick to comment too. Some thought the price was a little expensive though.
